Opens mediaCastpro. the B2B marketplace of video footage

The company netMtech srl announces the opening of a business-to-business marketplace for buying and selling video footage on any topic, accessible at www.mediacastpro.net
This is not a microstock service but a platform that allows its users to sell or buy entire video footage that is potentially raw, voluminous, and composed of many clips. The material for sale can be of any topic, and can relate to specific events or news events.
The platform is closed, accessible only to companies and professionals with a VAT number, so as to offer added value to the content for sale, preventing the final audience from seeing it.
It is at the discretion of the seller to choose prices and sales licenses themselves, depending on the platform's range of proposed offerings. The license consists of a broadcast prospectus as standard and exclusive and a content prospectus as editorial and commercial.
The seller pays a commission to the platform only on sales transactions that take place in the amount of 25%. The purchased video material can be used and resold, as appropriate, with complete freedom on the part of the buyer.
The idea for this marketplace comes from looking at the market:
Those who work in the media/information sectors create and/or disseminate videos that need, before post-production (audiovisual editing) and delivery (TV dissemination, online...), the production of content and, specifically, filming images of scenes and events.
Be it videos of any genre, type and period, they are the basis without which nothing is edited and distributed.
There is an opportunity to market an online vertical media marketplace service, a virtual intermediary place, where seller and potential buyer meet and the products offered/sold directly to each other are videos shot with suitable apparatus such as cameras.
To date, there are only platforms in the market that promote the concept of microstock, often at a high price, which allows the platform to make a large profit, but not so much the content creators who upload clips into them.
Currently, at this early stage of opening, it is possible to sign up to upload video footage for sale, but it is not possible to search or purchase material. By the end of November, searching and purchasing will also be enabled, and the platform will become fully operational.
Benefits are planned for sellers who sign up and upload video material at this early stage, such as the time extension of some optional services in free form.
More information can be found on the service page where FAQs and insights can be read www.mediacastpro.net
The company netMtech srl, which created and manages the platform, is a young and dynamic company that works with passion and commitment in the multidisciplinary development of software and services, with the aim of designing simple solutions to complex problems.

The platform is closed, accessible only to VAT-registered companies and professionals, so as to offer added value to the content for sale, preventing the final audience from seeing it.
Sellers can independently choose prices and sales licenses and will pay a commission to the platform only on transactions that actually take place, in the amount of 25%.
Each video is sold under one or more of the following licenses, at the seller's discretion:
  • Standard license for editorial use: the video may be sold to multiple buyers, who may use it for editorial purposes.
  • Standard license for commercial use: the video may be sold to multiple buyers, who may use it for commercial purposes.
  • Exclusive license for editorial use: the video can be sold to a single user, who will then have exclusive rights to it, and it can be used for editorial purposes.
  • Exclusive license for commercial use: the video may be sold to a single user, who will then have exclusive rights to it, and it may be used for commercial purposes.
Purchased video material can be used and resold, as appropriate, with complete freedom on the part of the purchaser.
Since the platform is designed for audiovisual professionals, the video codecs and different formats that can be used reflect this target audience, but formats from mirrorless and DSLRs are also accepted. Video files from consumer cameras can be uploaded if needed, perhaps for news events.
Recorded audio tracks can be multiple, individually selectable and listenable in the sales page preview. In addition, it is also possible to apply LUTs for some cameras, to footage produced with a Log profile, so as to show correct colors in the preview.
The service is accessible in Italian and English, targeting the European market. In the future, the platform will extend to the United States and the rest of the world.
The idea for this marketplace comes from looking at the market:
Those who work in the media/information sectors create and/or disseminate videos that need, before post-production (audiovisual editing) and delivery (TV dissemination, online, ...), the production of content and, specifically, shooting images of scenes and events.
Be it videos of any genre, type and period, they are the basis without which nothing is edited and delivered.
For example, TV broadcasters, in order to have the useful images for news and closed services needed to package news and TV programs, use in-house operators and staff and/or make use of outside services that on call move in to shoot the required subject matter.
There is an opportunity to market an online vertical media marketplace service, a virtual brokerage place, where seller and potential buyer meet and the products offered/sold directly between them are raw videos shot with suitable equipment such as cameras.
To date, there are only platforms in the market that promote the concept of microstock, often at a high price, which allows the platform to make a large profit, but not so much the content creators who upload clips into them.
With mediaCastpro. sellers can take advantage of 100 GB of free space in which to upload files. Each video footage is associated with a title, description, information needed for cataloging, the categories to which the video shot belongs (there are 40 to choose from), tags, and sales licenses with relevant prices. Then the service generates a sales page with a preview of all uploaded clips, protected by watermarks, and with all the details of both the video and the seller. Users within the site can search for and view material uploaded by sellers and purchase it by paying by debit or credit card. Upon payment, it is immediately possible to download the files. The seller must invoice the buyer and receives a monthly transfer every 10th of the month with all proceeds from the previous month's sales, reduced only by sales commissions.
To make the user experience smoother, the platform also allows uploading and downloading of files via FTP. This capability proves particularly useful if there are many clips to upload or download.
Several "optional services" are also available for a fee to increase the space available for sale, to improve search rankings, or to access some advanced features. Initially, some services will be available free of charge for a limited time to make them known and appreciated in daily use.
